Questions from families
Answers to what parents ask most.
Who can join?
Students 7 years old through 12th grade, from any school district. You don’t have to live in Marlette or North Branch. Parents and guardians can get a Parent Card too.
What day is club night, and when does the season start?
Fridays at Mt. Holly, from 3 pm to close, weather permitting. Club nights usually start in early January and run through the end of February. We post the first night as soon as Mt. Holly confirms it.
Is there a bus?
There’s no club bus. If the sponsors arrange any rides for 2026–27, we’ll post it here and in GroupMe. For now, say whether you need a ride or can give one when you sign up each week, and the sponsors will help match carpools.
Can my child go without me?
Yes, if they can manage on their own at the hill. The sponsors, the school and Mt. Holly don’t supervise children, so if your child can’t be on their own, a parent or guardian needs to come.
How much does it cost?
A membership card once a season, then a lift ticket (and rental, if needed) only for the Fridays you come. See Pricing for this season’s prices.
Do I pay every week?
Only for the weeks you come. Sign up and pay by Thursday at 10 pm for that Friday, or bring cash when you pick up your ticket.
How do I pay?
Pay the club sponsor, not online. You’ll see the payment options when you register and sign up. If a payment app shows the name Ammal Hussein, that’s our sponsor Marley Lipka; it’s her legal name.
What if Mt. Holly closes on a club night?
You choose: get your lift ticket money back, or roll it over to the next club night. A sponsor will contact you.
Where do I get my lift ticket?
At the club table in the lounge, from a sponsor. Look for the sign with our logo.
Can parents ski too?
Yes. Last season a Parent Card got parents club prices on Friday nights, bought at Mt. Holly’s ticket window; we’ll confirm this season’s parent prices on Pricing. Parents can’t take a child up a lift above the child’s patch level.
My child is 6 or under. Do they need a card?
No. Mt. Holly sells half-price lift tickets and rentals for kids 6 and under at the ticket window; the child needs to be there. They can’t join patch lessons until they’re 7.
Can we ski on other days?
Yes. Show your membership card at Mt. Holly’s ticket window. Students get the club price Monday to Thursday after 3 pm. Weekend, holiday and parent discounts for this season aren’t posted yet; see Pricing.
Are lessons required?
Yes. Each student card includes 2 lessons, and students take part in Mt. Holly’s patch program. Patches you earned before still count, but you need a new card each season.
Does my child need a helmet?
Yes, at all times on the hill. Bring your own or rent one at Mt. Holly.
Which forms do I need?
The online registration, the Parental Permission and Insurance Affidavit (printed and signed), and Mt. Holly’s rental disclaimer if you’ll rent.
How do I know my registration went through?
After you submit, you see a confirmation with a summary and the email and last name to use each week. Take a screenshot to keep it.
How do I get updates?
Join the club’s GroupMe and Facebook group. We no longer use Remind.

Your family’s information
We ask only for what the sponsors need on club night: names, contact and emergency phone numbers, birth dates and grades, rental sizes (on the Rental sizes page), and any medical notes you choose to share. Only the club sponsors and the site’s administrator can see it. The sponsors carry a printed roster at the hill because Mt. Holly requires it.
Your family’s saved rental sizes are shown back to anyone who enters your email and last name on the Rental sizes page, so they can be updated. Nothing else you register is shown on the site.
We delete each season’s registration data, including medical notes, about two months after the last club night. Deleted data can stay in our host’s automatic database backups for up to 7 more days, then it’s gone. To have your family’s information removed sooner, email us.
